All students must furnish their own clothing and shoes for classes including shoes and tights for performances. Students should feel free to choose the options below that most closely match their gender identity. By the end of the first two weeks of a session, students should be dressed for class in the uniform for their class level, even when injured or observing. All clothing and shoes should be marked with the student's name. No jewelry (except small earrings) may be worn in class. Students in Ballet 1 and up should not wear skirts, leg warmers, sweaters, or extra clothing of any kind in the classroom.
Ballet - Tight fitted white T-s hirt or white leotard, black tights, black ballet slippers, or white ballet slippers with thin white socks (Ages 10 and up should wear a black or skin tone dance belt (athletic support).
Jazz/Hip Hop/Modern/Tap - Tight fitted T-shirt (no writing or logos), black pants or shorts, black jazz shoes, dance sneakers, tap shoes, or bare feet. (Ages 10 and up should wear a black or tan dance belt (athletic support) when wearing fitted tights, shorts, or pants.
EARLY DANCE PROGRAM
Dance with Me - Comfortable clothing and bare feet or any color leotard, skin tone or pink tights and ballet shoes.
Creative Movement - Light pink leotard, skin tone or pink tights and ballet slippers, hair in a bun, ponytail, or similar style. Skirts are allowed.
PreBallet & Tap - Lavender leotard, skin tone or pink tights and ballet slippers, hair in a bun or similar style, black patent leather tap shoes. Skirts are allowed.
Elementary Ballet Program
*Ballet 1 - Light blue leotard, skin tone or pink convertible tights with and matching ballet slippers, hair in a bun or similar style
*Ballet 2 - Red leotard, skin tone or pink convertible tights with and matching ballet slippers, hair in a bun or similar style
*Ballet 3 - Burgundy Leotard, skin tone or pink convertible tights with and matching ballet slippers, hair in a bun or similar style
Leotards for Ballet 1, 2 and 3 should be traditional/conservative styles (unadorned, no halters, cutouts, or strap designs). Dancers at this level should not wear undergarments under their tights. If bra support is needed, supportive garments should not show. No warm up garments should be worn during class. No jewelry should be worn during class except small earrings.
Recreational Program
Recreational Ballet - Any color leotard, skin tone or pink convertible tights with and matching ballet slippers, hair in a bun or similar style. If bra support is needed, undergarments should not show. No warm up garments should be worn during class except skin tone or pink leg warmers in the case of injury. No jewelry should be worn during class except small earrings.
Progressing Ballet Technique - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings, bare feet, hair in a bun or similar style
Choreography - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings, bare feet, hair in a bun or similar style
Tap - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings/jazz pants, black patent tie tap shoes (4-7 years), black oxford tap shoes (8 years and up), hair in a bun or pony tail
Jazz/Hip Hop - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings/jazz pants, black jazz shoes/sneakers, hair in a bun or pony tail
Modern - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings, bare feet, hair in a bun or similar style
Acro - Any solid color leotard, solid tights/leggings, bare feet, hair in a bun or similar style
Pre-Professional Ballet Program
Ballet 4 - Navy leotard
Ballet 5 - Royal blue leotard
Ballet 6 - Plum/Purple leotard
Ballet 7 - Gray leotard
*Ballet 6/7 may wear any color leotard on Saturdays.
All pre-professional ballet levels should wear skin tone or pink convertible tights with and matching ballet slippers. All dancers should have matching ribbons on ballet slippers and pointe shoes. Leotards should be traditional/conservative styles (unadorned, no halters, cutouts, or strap designs). If bra support is needed, undergarments should not show. Hair should be in a bun or similar style with all bangs pinned or sprayed back. Solid color skirts may be worn for pointe classes and rehearsals. No warm up garments should be worn during class except plain skin tone or pink leg warmers in the case of injury. No jewelry should be worn during class except small earrings.
